About this Project
Design/Build – Addition to an operating facility for 17,500 sf warehouse and 5,200 sf cooler for beer keg storage. Nucor pre-engineered metal building addition was designed with a drive thru bay for delivery trucks and 5,200 sf mezzanine with cooler below. Work included deep foundation design utilizing ICF (insulated concrete forms) for the gradebeams with pilasters and column pads for the pre-eng metal building point loads. The building was completed with an insulated building envelope, spray foam insulation in the cooler, steel stairs to access the mezzanine, mechanical vents or vehicle fumes and new LED lighting. The addition required an upgrade to the existing fire riser in the building to accommodate square footage.
The building addition was the fourth project completed for this client. In 2015 our team completed a 2,500 sf renovation on the 2nd floor for executive offices. In 2013 we enclosed a covered building extension to increase their warehouse space 3,200 sf and equipped the space with fire sprinkler system and electrical. In 2014 we installed a 100’ steel canopy along the front walk to the building office entrance. Both projects completed in 2013 and 2014 were completed with 100% in-house work force.
