About this Project
Competitive Bid – Historic renovation of the Elk Creek Visitor Center located at Blue Mesa Reservoir near Gunnison Colorado. The scope of work included a complete interior renovation (6,698 SF) down to bare studs and subflooring. Modifications to existing floor plan, and new wood framed walls to accommodate the new layout. ADA accessibility upgrades with new elevator, and restroom modifications throughout. The building was equipped with new mechanical electrical, plumbing and fire sprinkler throughout. The exterior upgrades included replacing the cedar shake roof and siding to match historical finishes. Existing parking lot was removed and repaved.
