About this Project
Competitive Bid – 3,500 sf interior remodel to Historic Building, that was formally the City of Montrose’s Fire Station. During the bidding phase our estimating team pre-qualified subcontractors and sought competitive pricing, resulting in Ford’s bid proposal 27% less than analysis and offered to prepare a Change order which resulted in 5-1/2% additional savings to the construction contract. This was not requested by the City of Montrose and was part of our team’s due diligence keeping the client’s interest first. Work included restoration of original ceiling tiles, removal of red paint to expose original brick, ADA concrete ramp access, wood truss structural supports for RTU and interior finishes.
