About this Project
Competitive Bid – Complete interior renovation of three (3) existing dorm buildings, total of 36 units (26,268 sf). At the pre-construction meeting the Owner Representative notified the construction team of the discovery of asbestos in two (2) of the three (3) dorm buildings. Ford’s team worked closely with CMU in coordination of the abatement and completion of the renovations. Project was completed on time regardless of the unforeseen conditions.
Primary scope included the complete renovation of the kitchens and bathrooms in each of the 36 units, removal and replacement of all plumbing fixtures, casework, flooring, electrical lighting and sub-panels, associated drywall for proposed plumbing, and accessories. New solid surface bath vanities, tub surrounds and kitchen counter tops. Work completed with in-house crew included framing, casework, doors and hardware, toilet accessories.
